Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced JIRA Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, customization, and maintenance of our JIRA platform to support our organization's project management and software development processes.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the JIRA environment, including user management, project configurations, workflows, permission schemes, and issue types.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and implement customizations, plugins, and integrations to meet their needs.
- Configure JIRA dashboards, filters, reports, and gadgets to provide relevant insights and visibility into project progress and performance.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for JIRA-related problems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices for JIRA usage within the organization.
- Stay informed about new features, updates, and best practices in JIRA and Atlassian ecosystem, and proactively recommend improvements and optimizations.
- Collaborate with other teams (such as development, QA, and IT) to integrate JIRA with other tools and systems used across the organization.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to educate users and promote efficient use of JIRA.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4 years of experience as a JIRA Administrator or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of JIRA administration, configuration, and customization.
- Proficiency in JIRA Query Language (JQL) for creating advanced filters and reports.
- Experience with JIRA plugins, add-ons, and integrations (e.g., JIRA Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) are a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) for automation and customization is a plus.
