Job Summary
We are seeking a Java Developer with hands-on experience in migrating enterprise applications from IBM WebSphere to an open-source Java stack deployed on Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about modernization, containerization, and cloud-native development Responsibilities :
- Assist in migrating Java/JEE applications from IBM WebSphere to open-source Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Jakarta EE.
- Refactor legacy codebases to be compatible with microservices and containerized environments.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain applications on Kubernetes using Docker, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize application performance and reliability in a containerized setup.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Cloud, and QA to ensure seamless deployment and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions to ensure best Skills :
- 3+ years of Java/JEE development experience
- Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere application server
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Jakarta EE
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Maven/Gradle, and Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab Skills :
- Experience in application modernization/migration projects
- Knowledge of Helm, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of 12-factor app Qualification : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
