The Quality Assurance Senior Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of software quality and integrity within our business systems. This position calls for a highly skilled Quality Assurance Test Automation specialist with profound expertise in TOSCA and extensive experience in deploying Test Automation within CI/CD pipelines to achieve End-to-End Automation. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the test automation space, capable of developing and executing comprehensive test plans and scriptsboth manual and automated. You will gather and analyze data to support business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements, focusing on creating test plans and scripts to track and report defects, fixes, and performance issues. In addition, you will act as the liaison between business and IT to ensure that testing events are well-designed, structured, controlled, and coordinated.
Responsibilities:
Test Automation: Design, develop, and implement both automated and manual regression and functional test scripts using tools such as TOSCA, Open Text ALM and JIRA.
Quality Assurance: Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to meet quality goals.
Testing Activities: Execute rigorous testing activities to ensure business systems meet requirements and goals, fulfill end-user needs, and identify existing or potential issues.
Test Plans and Cases: Create detailed Test Plans and Test Cases, and perform system, regression, and functional testing using HP's Quick Test Professional and Quality Center.
Test Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures (both manual and automated).
Defect Analysis: Analyze formal test results to discover and report defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, performance, and interoperability flaws.
QA Life-Cycle: Participate in all phases of the QA life-cycle to maintain the quality of application releases, leading project tasks under the direction of Project Management.
Automation Infrastructure: Maintain test automation infrastructure, code, and procedures, enabling others to create reusable automation components.
Process Evolution: Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring the team adheres to industry-accepted best practices.
Coordination and Leadership: Act as the key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources both internally and externally. Lead and mentor QA team members, managing outside contract testers.
Communication: Provide regular updates on test progress, results, and other relevant information to the project team or test lead.
Recommendations: Make informed recommendations for application improvements to Business Systems Analysts and Developers.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E) in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years of application testing experience with a proven track record of leading teams.Technical Expertise:
Extensive experience with TOSCA (or UFT), Open Text ALM and JIRA.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with TOSCA and deploying Test Automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Python experience preferred.
Jenkins experience preferred.Domain Knowledge:
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 (Two or more of these modules: Order Management, Supply Chain, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Invoicing).
Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud testing.
Familiarity with Oracle Siebel and Salesforce (SFDC) is preferred.
Methodologies: Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies.
Analytical Skills: Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
Statistical Reporting: Experience with statistical reporting and analysis.
Project Management: Developing project management skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong listening and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
