What you will do

As an individual contributor as well as part of a team, the intern will do the following:

.Lead supply-chain network design & optimization project(s), which typically includes problem scoping, input data collection/validation, input data transformation, model building, scenario evaluation, model output analysis, building reports, drawing insights/recommendations from model output, and documentation.
.Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across Stryker in pursuing relevant data, validating model input/output data and managing requirements to deliver results timely.
.Ensure that recommendations are reviewed and vetted by various stakeholders & subject matter experts before final presentation to senior management.
.Use judgement in applying professional expertise and work independently with minimal supervision.
.Leverage procedures and concepts of own discipline into project(s) assigned.
.

Skill set needed:

Masters in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
Knowledge of optimization, simulation, statistics and data analytics.
Knowledge of databases, query languages (SQL), programming languages (Python, C/C++, etc.), and data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
Experience in data transformation techniques in Excel or other tools.
Independent, self-driven, and flexible to work under dynamic project priorities.
Ability to translate business requirements into problem statements and identify right approach to solve the problem.
Ability to develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Stakeholders.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
