We operate in the interior design and workplace solutions industrydelivering turnkey commercial and residential fit-outs, spatial branding, and ergonomic workplace interiors across India. This role is for a hands-on Interior Designer to join an on-site delivery team focused on high-quality, timely implementation of interior projects.
Role: Interior Designer (On-site) India
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate client briefs into clear interior concepts, schematic layouts, and detailed space plans that balance aesthetics, function, and budget.
- Produce accurate construction documentation and technical drawings (2D CAD and details) for contractors and vendors; ensure drawings meet site requirements.
- Create high-quality 3D models and visualisations (renderings, walkthroughs) to present design intent and secure client approvals.
- Manage on-site execution: coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers; supervise installations and ensure adherence to design and quality standards.
- Select materials, finishes, lighting, and FF&E; prepare schedules, specifications, and procurement lists to support timely delivery.
- Maintain clear client communication and regular progress reporting; troubleshoot site issues proactively to meet timelines and budgets.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field with 1+ years of on-site interior design experience (commercial or residential projects) in India.
- Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and construction documentation; strong space-planning fundamentals.
- Practical experience with 3D modelling and visualization tools (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Enscape/V-Ray/Lumion, D5) to create client-ready renders.
- Hands-on experience in site coordination, vendor management, and supervising fit-outs to ensure quality and timelines.
- Good command of material selection, FF&E specification, and cost-conscious detailing appropriate for Indian markets.
- Strong communication skills, ability to present design concepts, and familiarity with local building codes and site safety practices.
