Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer with a passion for creating functional, aesthetic, and innovative interior spaces. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of hands-on experience in interior design, space planning, and project execution. This role requires someone with a strong design vision and the ability to bring client concepts to life, ensuring a perfect balance between creativity, functionality, and client requirements. The Interior Designer will oversee projects from concept development through to completion, managing both design and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of interior spaces for commercial, residential, retail, and corporate projects.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget, transforming these into practical and visually appealing design solutions.
- Create mood boards, design concepts, and detailed design layouts.
- Produce working drawings, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and material specifications using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Create 3D visualizations and renders using SketchUp, V-Ray, or equivalent software.
- Oversee site execution, ensuring that design intent, quality, and timelines are met during the implementation phase.
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, consultants, and engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously from concept to execution, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to project timelines.
- Keep up-to-date with design trends, materials, finishes, furniture, and lighting to incorporate innovative elements into designs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in interior design and project execution.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to on-site execution.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for working drawings and detailed design.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, V-Ray, or similar rendering software for 3D visualizations and presentations.
- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for concept and presentation boards.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite for project documentation and team coordination.
- A solid understanding of materials, furniture, lighting, finishes, and spatial planning.
Skills and Attributes:
- A keen design sensibility with a creative and detail-oriented approach to interior design.
- Strong client communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, MEP layouts, and on-site coordination.
- A proven ability to deliver high-quality interiors that meet client expectations within agreed-upon deadlines and budgets.
