An Integrated Project Manager at WPP Production is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering print production projects as part of integrated marketing campaigns. This role serves as the key liaison between clients, creative teams, artwork, and production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while meeting brand, technical, and quality standards. This is a contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage print production projects from initiation through final delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams including creative, artwork, production, technical specialists, procurement, and external print vendors.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and production schedules.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time while maintaining quality, technical accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including project plans, scope documents, requirements, functional specifications, status reports, risk logs, project health reports, incident reports, and project closure documentation.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and dependencies, and proactively resolve or escalate issues.
- Oversee print production workflows including artwork reviews, pre-press, proofing, colour approvals, print production, finishing, fulfilment, and final delivery.
- Work closely with Technical Leads, Production Managers, and print vendors to establish best practices, reusable workflows, and process improvements.
- Manage multiple stakeholders across clients, production teams, technical teams, suppliers, and business units.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and vendor performance.
- Support new business initiatives by providing delivery planning, production estimates, and technical recommendations.
- Stay current with print production technologies, automation, sustainability initiatives, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Print Project Management, Production, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of print production processes, including pre-press, colour management, artwork specifications, print technologies (offset, digital, large format), finishing techniques, and print-ready file preparation.
- Good understanding of print production software and artwork workflows, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), PDF/X standards, and preflight processes.
- Experience managing technical production requirements, print specifications, vendor capabilities, and production quality assurance.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Good to Have
- Experience working within a print production, creative, or integrated agency environment.
- Knowledge of packaging, POS, retail, direct mail, and large-format production.
- Understanding of print procurement, supplier management, and production automation workflows.
- Certifications in Project Management, Agile, or related disciplines are an added advantage.
