About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to lead and mentor a team of software engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, delivering scalable and robust products, and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. You will balance hands-on coding (if required) with strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality deliverables, timely execution, and a culture of innovation within your team.
Key Responsibilities & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of MERN stack developers (frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers).
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and help team members with career & Execution :
- Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage sprint cycles, ensuring timely delivery of features.
- Drive process improvements for CI/CD, testing, and release Expertise :
- Deep hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, GraphQL, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, and :
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to serverless architecture.
- Experience scaling engineering teams in a startup or hyper-growth environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
