Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to create engaging learning and practice experiences for learners

  • This position reports to Global HR Lead and the primary objective is to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and captivating manner
  • As an Instructional Designer for Isocrates Academy, you will be responsible for designing and developing instructional materials, incorporating instructional design principles and technologies
  • Your expertise in curriculum development and instructional strategies will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning experiences
  • Ultimately, your role will contribute to the success of learners by fostering their growth and development through well-designed and impactful instructional programs

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience s training needs.
  • Manage LMS for all user requirements and ensure high quality training content is available on demand.
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner s performance and develop assessment instruments.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.

Requirements and skills

  • 4-6 years proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
  • Clear, concise and professional communications (written/verbal) abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
  • Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
  • Any graduation with degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
  • Willing to relocate to Mysuru and work from office 4 days a week.
  • Candidates from ITES or Digital Marketing or from any other similar domain prefered.
