The
Inspector - Piling will serve on construction supervision relating to Ports and Maritime Group.
Responsibilities -
- Should have experience in jetty, bridge construction.
- Should be competent in piling works, precast works and concreting works.
- Perform the duties of the Works Inspector on site in accordance with the construction contract and will include inter alia
- Daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of operations carried out by the contractor, including inspection of the works and review of the quality control measures in use by the contractor
- Record day-to-day activities of the contractor with respect to rate of progress
- Inspect materials to be used by the contractor, including compliance with the specifications
- Monitor the competence, efficiency and validity of the personnel and plant used by the contractor
- Monitor the contractor's QHSE aspects of work and ensure compliance with approved respective plans
- Acts as prime point of contact with the Resident Engineer (respective discipline) for all of the above activities
- Builds a trusted relationship with the Supervision Team members and with the contractor's counterpart staff
Here's what you'll need
Qualifications
- A Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential
- About 10+ years of experience.
- Experience in design of marine structures is preferred.
- Knowledge of calculating all the various loads acting on marine structures is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Indian codes and standards is expected.
- Knowledge of various IS/BS/EURO Codes will be preferred.
- Should have awareness of individual capability limitations and technical competence.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Good communication skills are desirable.
