Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Inspector – Metallurgy to join our quality team in the automotive manufacturing industry. If you have hands-on experience in metallurgical testing, material analysis, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a leading manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct metallurgical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished components.
  • Perform metallography and microscopic examination to evaluate grain structure, phase distribution, and material defects.
  • Operate laboratory equipment including tensile testing machines, hardness testers, microscopes, and spectrometers.
  • Carry out Non-Destructive Testing (UT, MT, PT, RT) as per ASNT standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate heat treatment processes.
  • Perform failure analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review supplier material certifications and inspection reports.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans and quality procedures.
  • Maintain inspection records and support quality audits.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supplier quality teams to resolve material-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and safety standards.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering.
  • 3–7 years of overall experience.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in metallurgy, quality inspection, or automotive manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate in Tamil and English.
