I&A Product Owner / Manager
Global Insights & Analytics CoE
Location: India GCC
Function: Growth Strategy & Insights / Global Insights & Analytics
Role Purpose:
The I&A Product Owner / Manager will translate business needs into clear product scope, requirements, backlog, delivery plans, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.
This role will partner closely with US I&A, Growth, Product, Commercial, Solution Architecture, Solution Engineering, Visualization / UX, QA / Operations, and platform / data teams to deliver trusted, reusable, and supportable analytics products.
This is a hands-on product ownership role for a growing analytics capability. The ideal candidate can bring structure to ambiguity, manage delivery tradeoffs, and help move the organization from fragmented requests and one-off dashboards toward scalable, reusable, and supported analytics products.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirement Translation:
- Partner with US I&A Squad Leads and business stakeholders to understand business questions, decision needs, and expected outcomes.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product scope.
- Clarify whether work should be handled as a one-time insight, reusable analytical view, productized analytics asset, or data foundation dependency.
Analytics Product Delivery:
- Own delivery orchestration for assigned analytics products from intake through release and support handoff.
- Manage product backlog, priorities, scope tradeoffs, dependencies, and delivery sequencing.
- Coordinate across Solution Architects, Solution Engineers, Visualization / UX Engineers, QA / Operational Analysts, and platform / data partners.
- Ensure each product has clear scope, business owner, acceptance criteria, validation path, release readiness, and support model.
Data-to-Product Delivery Readiness:
- Own the analytics product journey from data readiness through business-facing release, adoption, and support handoff.
- Partner with Solution Architects and engineering teams to ensure data, logic, access, validation, and platform dependencies are identified early.
- Ensure analytics products are ready for governed deployment across Databricks, Tableau, and related platforms.
- Confirm each product has clear requirements, acceptance criteria, validation evidence, release notes, documentation, and support ownership.
- Surface production data, access, reliability, or platform constraints through the appropriate delivery and governance processes.
Productization and Reuse:
- Identify opportunities to convert recurring analysis into reusable analytics products.
- Help rationalize fragmented dashboards, vendor-built assets, manual reports, duplicate outputs, and unsupported analytics assets.
- Partner with Solution Architect and Analytics Enablement teams on reuse, rebuild, retire, or productize decisions.
Metric Clarity and Business Alignment:
- Ensure metrics and business definitions are clearly understood, consistently applied, and aligned to business decisions.
- Partner with business, analytics, and data teams to document metric logic, filters, grain, assumptions, and edge cases.
- Help prevent conflicting definitions, inconsistent reporting, and duplicate metric logic across products.
QA, Release Readiness, and Support:
- Partner with QA / Operational Analysts to define validation expectations, reconciliation needs, UAT criteria, and release readiness.
- Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders and ensure defects, known limitations, and open risks are documented.
- Ensure every analytics product has clear ownership, documentation, release notes, enhancement backlog, and support path.
Adoption and Lifecycle Management:
- Track usage, stakeholder feedback, adoption, and enhancement requests after launch.
- Maintain the product backlog after release and prioritize improvements based on business value, reuse, and support burden.
- Partner with Squad Leads and QA / Operations to ensure analytics products remain trusted, current, and supportable.
Qualifications:
- 7–10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data products, product ownership, commercial analytics, or related fields.
- Experience translating business needs into clear requirements, scope, backlog, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of analytics product delivery, reporting products, reusable analytical assets, and decision-support tools.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, analytics, data engineering, visualization, QA, and technology.
- Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to operate in a maturing environment with ambiguous requirements, fragmented assets, and competing priorities.
- Experience in healthcare, MedTech, life sciences, commercial analytics, patient journey, payer/access, or claims data is preferred.
- Experience working in a GCC / CoE or global delivery model is preferred.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Tableau / Power BI, cloud analytics platforms, Agile delivery, or governed production deployment processes is a plus.
