Role Description The Information Technology Specialist will work full time on-site in the Mohali district, supporting the technology infrastructure that enables MTC's logistics operations. This role includes managing and maintaining computer systems and networks, monitoring system performance, and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity across the organization. The specialist will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, implement security best practices, and assist in deploying new tools and applications. Day-to-day responsibilities involve collaborating with internal teams, responding to service requests, documenting technical solutions, and providing user training and guidance where needed. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by recommending upgrades and enhancements that support operational efficiency and data security.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Information Technology and Troubleshooting, with experience managing hardware, software, and system configurations.
• Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills, including configuring routers, switches, and maintaining local and wide area networks.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Network Security, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, access controls, and data protection best practices.
• Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills, with the ability to support internal users, explain technical concepts clearly, and respond promptly to issues.
• Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or similar credentials are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in logistics or transportation domains, and familiarity with 3PL or freight management systems, is beneficial.
