Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic professional with experience in state and central government incentive advisory, and approvals. The role involves advising clients on fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, managing end-to-end incentive application and disbursement processes, preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and liaising with government authorities to facilitate investments across sectors.
The professional will work closely with corporates, investment promotion agencies, and government departments to support strategic investment decisions and ensure seamless execution of incentive-related engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise domestic and multinational clients on applicable state and central government incentive schemes, industrial policies, and frameworks.
- Evaluate project eligibility under various incentive programs and identify opportunities for maximizing fiscal and non-fiscal benefits.
- Manage end-to-end incentive lifecycle activities including application preparation, submission, approvals, compliance tracking, and disbursement of funds.
- Prepare and review Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), investment proposals, financial projections, and supporting documentation for incentive claims and approvals.
- Liaise and coordinate with state and central government authorities, Industries Departments, investment promotion agencies, and regulatory bodies for approvals and implementation support.
- Support clients in obtaining statutory approvals, registrations, and clearances related to investment projects.
- Monitor policy developments, incentive notifications, across various states and sectors.
- Assist clients in resolving implementation issues, policy interpretation matters, and procedural bottlenecks with authorities.
- Structure and negotiate consultancy engagements while ensuring high-quality client delivery and stakeholder management.
- Conduct policy benchmarking and comparative assessment of states to support location strategy and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, regulatory, consulting, and legal professionals to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
- Drive client relationship management through proactive engagement, strategic advisory, and execution excellence.

Experience across one or more of the following sectors would be preferred:

Preferred Qualifications
- Qualified CA / CMA / MBA (Finance / Public Policy)
- Relevant experience in incentive advisory, government consulting.
- Prior experience with consulting firms, industrial development projects, or government-facing roles would be an added advantage.
