Responsibilities 

1. Core Domain & Transformation Skills

Must‑Have Skills 

Good‑to‑Have Skills 

Strong understanding of payments ecosystems ( 

Prior involvement in central bank or regulator‑led initiatives 

Experience working on large‑scale transformation or modernization programs 

Knowledge of cross‑border payments and correspondent banking 

Ability to understand end‑to‑end payment flows, 

Experience in payments interoperability or consolidation programs 

Familiarity with payments standards like ISO 20022, 8583 etc. 

Experience with specific national payment systems (e.g., RTGS, FPS, UPI‑like systems) 

 

2. Stakeholder Management & Communication Skills 

Must‑Have Skills 

Good‑to‑Have Skills 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Experience presenting to senior regulatory officials 

Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders  

Experience handling politically sensitive or multi‑institution environments 

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑friendly language 

Experience facilitating industry working groups or forums 

Strong workshop facilitation and discussion‑leading skills 

Experience driving consensus‑based decision making 

 

3. Presentation, Storytelling & Executive Communication

Must‑Have Skills 

Good‑to‑Have Skills 

Advanced PowerPoint (PPT) skills  

Experience creating regulator‑ready or board‑level decks 

Ability to build clear narratives 

Experience publishing strategy or policy papers 

Strong skills in executive summaries and decision papers 

Visualisation skills (journey maps, operating models, architectures)
