Responsibilities
The Product Owner will serve as the single point of accountability for the AWS Cloud Scrum team's product backlog. Responsibilities include:
- Owning, prioritizing, and refining the product backlog in alignment with cloud platform strategy
- Translating business and technical requirements into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Collaborating with stakeholders (engineering, architecture, business sponsors) to align priorities
- Participating in all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives)
- Making real-time trade-off and scope decisions to maximize team value delivery
- Managing the product roadmap and communicating progress to leadership
Mandatory skill sets:
- Proven Product Owner experience in Agile/Scrum environments – hands-on backlog management, story writing, and sprint execution
- AWS Cloud / Cloud Infrastructure knowledge – understanding of cloud services, migration, and platform operations (does not need to be deeply technical, but must speak the language)
Preferred skill sets:
1 Strong stakeholder management and communication skills – ability to negotiate priorities, align cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with senior leadership
