As we continue to expand our Travel & Expense (T&E) platform, we are looking for an Implementation Project Manager to drive successful customer implementations and ensure seamless onboarding of enterprise clients.
Job Overview
The Implementation Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering successful implementations of Zaggle's Travel & Expense (T&E) solution. This techno-functional role combines implementation consulting with project management, ensuring customers are successfully onboarded from project kick-off through go-live and transition to the Customer Success team.
The ideal candidate should have strong consulting experience in the Travel & Expense (T&E) domain, with the ability to understand customer business processes, recommend industry best practices, and manage end-to-end implementation projects. Candidates with prior experience in the T&E industry and proven customer-facing consulting and project management skills will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute implementation projects in line with the agreed Statement of Work (SOW).
- Understand customer business processes, perform requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
- Consult customers on Travel & Expense best practices and recommend optimal solution configurations aligned with business requirements.
- Configure and implement Zaggle's Travel & Expense solution based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage end-to-end project execution, including project planning, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Handle multiple implementation projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, and internal stakeholders to deliver configurations, integrations, and product enhancements.
- Conduct solution workshops, product demonstrations, user training sessions, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Track project progress, proactively identify risks, manage escalations, and communicate regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of project documentation, customer signoffs, and successful go-live.
- Deliver a smooth handover to the Customer Success team after implementation.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and contribute to implementation best practices, documentation, and process improvements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in implementation consulting and project management for SaaS or enterprise software applications.
- Strong consulting experience in the Travel & Expense (T&E) domain, Expense Management, Corporate Travel, Employee Reimbursements, or FinTech solutions.
- Experience working in the T&E industry or implementing Travel & Expense solutions for enterprise customers is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing customer-facing implementation or consulting engagements.
- Good understanding of finance, expense management, reimbursement, and travel processes.
- Strong client management, stakeholder engagement, consulting, and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
Job-Specific Requirements
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Travel & Expense (T&E) processes, including Travel Requests & Approvals, Expense Claims, Employee Reimbursements, Corporate Card Management, Travel Policy Compliance, Cost Centers, Budget Controls, and Finance/ERP integrations.
- Proven ability to consult customers on business process optimization and recommend industry best practices for Travel & Expense management.
- Good understanding of software implementation methodologies and project management practices.
- Strong requirement gathering, business process mapping, solution design, and documentation skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand customer business requirements and translate them into effective solution designs.
- Strong coordination skills across customers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, mitigate risks, and deliver successful implementations.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new products and technologies.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as required (approximately 30-50%)
