About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Worli, Mumbai. The ideal candidate will handle end-to-end HR operations, ensure smooth employee lifecycle management, maintain statutory compliance, and actively drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day HR activities including employee relations, benefits, recruitment, and onboarding
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues related to HR policies, benefits, and employment law
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations
- Assist with payroll processing and attendance management
- Support HR audits and maintain audit readiness
- Coordinate with vendors for HR-related services
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives (e.g., team events, recognition programs, wellness activities, and feedback sessions) to boost morale and retention
- Facilitate regular communication channels such as newsletters, all-hands meetings, and one-on-one feedback to keep employees informed and motivated
- Organize team-building activities, celebrations, and office outings to break monotony and strengthen workplace relationships
- Recognize and reward employee contributions through appreciation programs and performance acknowledgement
- Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback mechanisms, and act on insights to improve workplace culture
Requirements
- 4–5 years of experience in HR Generalist or HR Operations roles
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and statutory compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Hindi, and Urdu (multilingual ability valued)
- Proficient in HR software/HRMS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with employee background verification (BGV) is preferred
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter is advantageous
- Proven experience in driving employee engagement programs and creating a positive workplace culture
