Job Description

HR Payroll Specialist

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Payroll Specialist who will take complete ownership of end-to-end payroll management for the India region. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in payroll compliance, employee compensation processes, and coordination with cross-functional teams. In addition to managing payroll, the role also requires experience in day-to-day HR Operations, ensuring smooth employee lifecycle support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete end-to-end payroll processing for India employees with accuracy and timely disbursement.
  • Validate payroll inputs including attendance, variable pay, deductions, reimbursements, overtime, and compensation components.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, TDS, and Income Tax regulations.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliation statements, audit data, and statutory documentation.
  • Handle employee payroll queries, salary-related concerns, and taxation clarifications.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, Finance, Admin, and business teams for seamless payroll processing.
  • Support HR Operations activities including employee lifecycle management, HR documentation, HRIS updates, and exit formalities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee payroll and compensation data.
  • Drive payroll process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in end-to-end India payroll management.
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory laws.
  • Experience in HR Operations activities.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS and payroll tools.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and payroll reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualification:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred.
  • Experience handling multi-location or high-volume payroll.
  • Exposure to payroll audits, HR analytics, and process automation.
