The Role
We are looking for a skilled & dedicated HR & compliance manager to join our factory team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for HR operations and ensuring statutory compliance within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) factory setting at Khopoli. This position manages recruitment, employee engagement, payroll, HR policy implementation, labor law adherence, and fosters a high-performance and compliant workplace culture
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Drive end-to-end recruitment including sourcing, screening, and selecting candidates.
- Oversee onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
- Maintain employee database and necessary hiring documentation.
HR Operations
- Manage employee life cycle events (joining, transfers, exits).
- Handle payroll processing and salary administration with statutory deductions (PF, ESI, Professional Tax).
- Maintain attendance, leave management, and HRMS updates.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (Factories Act, Shops & Establishments Act, Contract Labour Act, PF, ESIC, LWF, Maternity Benefits, etc.).
- Liaise with government authorities and handle inspections or audits.
- Maintain up-to-date records and timely submissions regarding all statutory remittances and returns.
Policy & Documentation
- Draft and implement HR policies (leave, discipline, performance).
- Prepare and maintain statutory registers and HR compliance documentation.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address grievances and disciplinary issues professionally.
- Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Act as a bridge between management and workers for effective communication.
Performance Management & Training
- Oversee the performance appraisal process.
- Identify training needs and coordinate with internal/external training partners to enhance workforce skills and compliance awareness
Ideal Profile
Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM/Relevant Master's in HR, Labour Relations, or related field.
- 10+ years HR experience in FMCG/manufacturing/industrial setups, with at least 5 years in a compliance-related role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory compliance, and best HR practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and labour laws.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and HRMS software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and a team leader.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity.
