Job Title: Housekeeping Associate
Function: Housekeeping
Location: Lonavala

Primary Purpose

To undertake the cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms to a quality standard and to ensure all room facilities are working. To self-check allocated rooms to the minimum standard required by the hotel and rectify if standard is below expectations.

Major accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)

1. Physical mobility, ability to follow instructions and good communication skills in English/local language.

2. Knowledge of all chemicals (cleaning agents) used in Housekeeping and use of various cleaning equipment's.

3. Well-versed in maintaining vacuums and other equipment in a clean way.

4. Should have at least of 0-2 years of experience in similar role. Should be polite and helpful while dealing with guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces.

2. Change linen and craft/make beds.

3. Clean showers, tubs, sinks and toilet items.

4. Vacuum and brush carpets and floors.

5. Mop floors as required.

6. Dust, brush, polish and vacuum furniture.

7. Record room condition on work assignment sheets.

8. Give information to guests regarding hotel services, facilities and additional conveniences.

Work relations (context - main interfaces - functional report)
1. Reports to Supervisor Housekeeping.

Key figures - provide key data of the job e.g. budget, number of reports etc

Experience and qualifications required for the job
A Higher Secondary School Certificate is preferred, Ability to follow instruction, Detail-oriented, Professional attitude is required, Ability to work independently.
Should have experience of 0-2 years in similar position.
