Role Description The Headmistress role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Headmistress will oversee academic and administrative operations for the early years and primary school sections, ensuring alignment with Cambridge International and CBSE standards. Daily responsibilities include guiding teachers in planning and delivering lessons, monitoring classroom practices, and supporting effective pedagogy. The role involves developing and reviewing school policies, coordinating assessments, and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive school culture. The Headmistress will work closely with families, staff, and management, lead staff meetings, mentor educators, and drive initiatives for holistic student development and continuous quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Education and Pedagogy, with proven experience in primary or early years schooling.
- Demonstrated Educational Leadership and school management experience, preferably in Cambridge International and/or CBSE settings.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing, reviewing, and implementing age-appropriate and standards-aligned curricula.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families, and for clear, professional documentation and reporting.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field; formal training in school leadership is an advantage.
- Proven ability to build collaborative teams, manage change, and uphold child safety and inclusive practices.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on student outcomes and staff development.
- Experience with educational technology and data-driven school improvement is beneficial.
