About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role for a business on an ambitious transformation journey, targeting 10x growth in India over the next 3 years. The Marketing Director will be central to executing this vision — driving partnerships, platform growth, process efficiency, and building a high-performing team, all while operating in a lean, execution-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full marketing function in India, spanning B2B Marketing, demand generation, market intelligence, content marketing, and thought leadership
- Deliver measurable revenue impact through marketing-led initiatives, both directly and indirectly
- Lead transformation projects — e.g. modernizing marketing tech stack, opening new revenue channels — with a clear focus on business outcomes
- Build and scale a lean, high-performing marketing team; strong people management with career development focus
- Collaborate closely with India peer leadership and global stakeholders to build the region's reputation and visibility
- Host and represent India market opportunities to visiting global leadership
- Operate with an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset suited to a fast-scaling, execution-intensive environment
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of marketing experience across demand generation, market intelligence, content, and brand building
- Strong existing network within the HR community/ecosystem
- Demonstrated ownership of a transformation initiative within the last 3 years, with clear revenue impact
- Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable delivering outcomes with lean teams and optimized budgets
- Strong operational and execution orientation
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience
- Background in SaaS/HR tech, mid-stage startups, or fintech/payments-adjacent companies strongly preferred
- Startup experience is essential; candidates solely from large, stable corporate environments will not be a fit
