Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Content to lead our editorial team and drive the content strategy across all platforms. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of B2B media, exceptional editorial skills, and a proven track record of creating compelling and engaging content that meets the needs of our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's goals and audience needs.
  • Oversee the editorial calendar and ensure timely delivery of high-quality content across all channels (website, newsletters, social media, events, etc.).
  • Identify and explore new content formats and channels to increase audience engagement and reach.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of editors, writers, and content creators, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and manage freelance contributors and industry experts.

Content Creation & Curation:

  • Ensure the production of authoritative, accurate, and compelling content that adheres to the highest journalistic standards.
  • Oversee the curation of industry news, trends, and insights, providing valuable information to our audience.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Sales) to create content that supports business objectives.

Audience Engagement & Growth:

  • Utilize analytics to understand audience behavior and preferences, optimizing content to drive engagement and growth.
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and reach.
  • Develop and execute strategies for audience development and retention.

Brand & Voice Management:

  • Maintain and evolve the brand voice, ensuring consistency across all content.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the company at industry events and conferences.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in content creation and management, preferably in B2B media.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing editorial teams.
  • Strong background in digital content strategy and SEO.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective content strategies.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media platforms.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
