Spearhead the development and execution of business growth strategies tailored to the lift market, with a focus on both new builds and modernization opportunities.
Identify and cultivate new business leads, engaging with developers, consultants, and contractors to build a robust project pipeline
Work with public sector clients to understand their pain points and requirements to better prepare for viable solutions.
Strengthen client relationships through consistent engagement, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Monitor market dynamics, including competitor movements and pricing trends, to initiate strategic positioning and sales tactics.
Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance brand visibility and promote technical capabilities.
Tender Management and Commercial Proposals
Lead the preparation and internal presentation of detailed cost proposals and business justifications for project tenders.
Oversee the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of both technical and commercial bids.
Review tender specifications, drawings, and client requirements to ensure alignment with project scope and cost accuracy.
Familiar with PQM criteria and knowledgeable in gearing the company to meet optimal results.
Collaborate with procurement teams and external vendors to secure competitive pricing and optimize bid competitiveness.
Ensure all submissions meet internal governance standards and align with profitability and risk management objectives.
Lift Project Team Leadership
Responsibility for all activities on all lift projects, the field team and people on site ensuring that quality and safety standards are not compromised
Projects must be delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with the contract scope. Liaison will be required with the client design and management team, supply chain and vendors, suppliers, subcontractors and internal support functions
Fully accountable for the overall financial result of the BU and each project
Requirements
A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Additional qualifications in project management or sales strategy will be advantageous.
At least 10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or tendering within the lift industry. Experience in Project Management or leading Project Management teams would be desired.
Industry Insight: Strong understanding of lift systems, project lifecycles, and the tendering landscape.
Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business plans that deliver measurable growth.
Commercial Expertise: Skilled in cost estimation, bid strategy, and contract negotiation.
Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build rapport with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
