Contract Management:
- Oversee drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of commercial agreements, MoUs, NDAs, vendor contracts, and service agreements
- Ensure that contracts are legally sound and aligned with organizational objectives
Compliance & Governance:
- Lead company-wide legal compliance initiatives in alignment with applicable laws, rules, and regulatory frameworks
- Establish and enforce internal policies, procedures, and governance standards to minimize legal exposure
Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation:
- Provide proactive legal counsel to management and business units on corporate matters and transactions
- Identify legal risks and implement appropriate measures for mitigation and protection of the company's interests
Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure timely compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during inspections or audits, where required
Policy Management & Development:
- Formulate, review, and update legal policies and frameworks to reflect changes in laws and business needs
- Promote awareness and understanding of policies across departments through training and communication
Business Support & Strategic Counsel:
- Support strategic business initiatives by evaluating legal implications of new ventures, partnerships, or restructures
- Collaborate with leadership teams to align legal strategy with long-term business goals
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, ensuring effective delegation and development
- Foster a high-performance legal team culture through collaboration, training, and guidance
