Description
We are seeking a skilled HCC Coding professional to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 1-6 years of experience in medical coding, particularly in Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) coding. This role involves ensuring the accurate coding of patient records to support proper billing and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Assign appropriate codes based on the latest coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
- Stay updated on coding regulations, guidelines, and compliance changes.
- Prepare reports on coding accuracy and productivity as required.
- Provide training and support to junior coding staff when necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-6 years of experience in HCC coding or medical coding.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCC coding guidelines.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
