The Guidewire Claim Center Developer plays a crucial role in the enhancement and maintenance of the Claim Center platform, a vital application used by our organization for managing insurance claims. This position is instrumental in streamlining operational processes and improving the user experience for claim handlers. With an expected experience level of 5 to 8 years, the developer will leverage their expertise to design, code, test, and implement software solutions that support the diverse needs of the business. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, including business analysts and project managers, the developer contributes to the continuous improvement of our systems. The Guidewire Claim Center Developer not only focuses on coding but also on optimizing application performance and ensuring consistent compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will actively participate in the entire software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality solutions that drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements.
  • Design, develop, and enhance Guidewire Claim Center applications.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Resolve bugs and performance issues in existing applications.
  • Implement and manage API integrations with external systems.
  • Work closely with QA teams to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Maintain documentation for code and software processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

  • Support end-users and address any technical issues they encounter.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Guidewire.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements and efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Guidewire Claim Center development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and software development.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Understanding of insurance claims processes.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Experience with automation testing tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex software issues.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering quality solutions.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new technologies as needed.
  • Certification in Guidewire products is a plus.
