FICC Portfolio Analytics Techteam is responsible for the Lightning 2 platform, which is the primary intraday real time risk/pnl platform forthe traders in FICC division. Lightning 2 is highly available, resilient distributed computing platform, built on akka actor framework. It uses platforms like RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, Elastic Search etc. FICC Portfolio Analytics tech team in BGL is responsible for the core platform, by building new feature that are required by the business. This requires talking to the other teams globally to understand their requirements and coming up with design and implementation of the features. The team also responsible for maintaining the platform and works with the core engineering teams to keep the platform up to date on the technologies.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
A solid understanding of object orientated programming skills (Java or any other OO technology) including data structures and algorithms
Sound SDLC practices and ability to debug and troubleshoot problems
Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated
Experience collaborating in global teams and possesses strong interpersonal skills
Familiarity with automated testing, DevOps and Continuous Deployment
Strong communication skills
PreferredQualifications
Familiarity with Git, awareness of CI/CD and other modern SDLC practice
Experience in NoSQL data stores, e.g. Cassandra or MongoDB
Experience in modern message oriented middleware, e.g. Kafka or RabbitMQ
Experience in building and debugging distributed systems
Experience in developing software for Akka or Vertx
