Role: Lead GIS Analyst (GIS Technical Lead)
About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Lead GIS Analyst to drive technical delivery on large-scale, on-site geospatial programs across India. The role leads hands-on spatial analysis, system architecture for GIS stacks, and delivery of mapping and asset-management applications used by engineering and operations teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver end-to-end GIS solutions: data acquisition, modeling, processing, analysis, and map/application deployment for on-site projects.
- Design and maintain geospatial data models, workflows, and ETL pipelines; ensure data integrity, metadata standards, and version control.
- Administer GIS servers and databases (ArcGIS Enterprise, PostGIS); optimise performance, security, backups, and access controls.
- Develop mapping and web GIS applications using Python, GDAL, GeoServer or JS mapping libraries; integrate spatial services with enterprise systems.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis, remote sensing / LiDAR processing as required; produce maps, reports, and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior GIS staff, coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor/field survey activities, and enforce GIS best practices and QA/QC.

- Strong understanding of spatial data standards, QA/QC, and production workflows for mapping and asset management.
