Job Description
- Legal Advisory
- Provide legal advice to the leadership team on strategic, commercial and operational matters.
- Partner with business functions to enable compliant and commercially sound decision-making.
- Identify legal risks and recommend practical mitigation measures.
- Commercial Contracts
- Lead drafting, review and negotiation of high-value commercial agreements, including leasing, development, procurement, technology and strategic partnerships.
- Establish contract governance standards and improve contract turnaround timelines.
- Litigation & Dispute Management
- Oversee the organization's litigation portfolio and define dispute resolution strategy.
- Manage external counsel and ensure timely, cost-effective resolution of legal matters.
- Monitor legal exposure and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Regulatory & Legal Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, real estate and other statutory laws.
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary legal and compliance changes.
- Support internal audits, investigations and regulatory inspections.
- Real Estate & Business Transactions
- Lead legal support for acquisitions, asset management, redevelopment projects and strategic transactions.
- Oversee legal due diligence, title verification and transaction documentation.
- Advise on complex property, leasing and development matters.
- Corporate Governance
- Provide legal support to the Board and Executive Leadership on governance matters.
- Oversee the Company Secretarial function to ensure timely statutory filings, Board processes and compliance with Companies Act, SEBI and REIT Regulations.
- Policies & Risk Management
- Develop and review legal policies, Delegation of Authority and governance frameworks.
- Strengthen enterprise legal risk management and compliance processes.
- Promote ethical business practices and legal awareness across the organization.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Legal and Company Secretariat teams.
- Build functional capability, drive process improvements and optimize external legal spend.
The Successful Applicant
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- A degree in law or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of property and real estate laws.
- 15+ years of experience
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
- Confidence working with compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
