Job Title: GCP Data Engineer

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer (Airflow)
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining Airflow/Cloud Composer DAGs
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and working with GCP APIs
• Advanced SQL skills (BigQuery, stored procedures, query optimization)
• Experience in data modeling and ETL/ELT pipeline design
• Knowledge of performance, cost, and runtime optimization in GCP
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and automation
• Familiarity with MPP databases (Netezza, Teradata, SQL Server)
• Exposure to BI/reporting tools and data visualization
• Relevant GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer / Architect) preferred
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services
• Ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, streaming, files)
• Develop scalable data pipelines using Python, Dataflow, and Airflow
• Create and optimize data models and SQL queries in BigQuery
• Ensure performance tuning, cost optimization, and pipeline reliability
• Integrate data across multiple platforms for analytics and reporting
• Implement automation, CI/CD pipelines, and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements
