Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled Lead Full Stack Angular/Java Developer to work on a complex brownfield Platform Modernisation. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team in the development and implementation of software solutions, with a specific focus on a platform modernisation project. You will utilize your expertise in Java and Angular to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring alignment with client requirements and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development team in the design, implementation, and optimization of platform modernisation/conversion/migration solutions
- Ensure high standards of code quality and application design through code reviews and best practice methodologies
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Oversee the integration of front-end and back-end components to create seamless user experiences
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Essential Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on Angular
- Experience with platform modernisation/conversion/migration strategies and tools
- Familiarity with modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and development best practices
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and version control using Git
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- A genuine passion for technology and software development
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure
- Background in financial services or experience with market data management is preferred
