Role Description

We are seeking an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant to support financial process optimization, configuration, and ongoing functional enhancements within the SAP landscape. The consultant will act as an internal advisor across finance, controlling, and profitability analysis processes, ensuring SAP solutions align with business requirements and deliver operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an internal SAP functional consultant, supporting finance and controlling functions across regional business units

Analyze existing financial processes to identify improvement and automation opportunities

Configure and customize SAP FI and CO modules to align with business requirements

Gather and document detailed business and functional requirements for enhancements or new implementations

Propose and implement SAP-based solutions addressing finance and controlling challenges

Conduct end-to-end testing for system changes, upgrades, and new functionalities

Support users through troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous process optimization

Maintain configuration documentation, process flowcharts, and user training materials

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, PMO, and Internal Audit to ensure effective project delivery

Provide functional and process guidance on system capabilities, design, and integrations

Required Skills

Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules

Experience with Product Costing and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)

Proficiency in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments

Deep understanding of financial accounting principles, business processes, and cost management

Experience working through complete SAP implementation lifecycles

Ability to debug code and work with developers on custom enhancements

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Strong documentation skills for system configuration and functional specifications

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management best practices

SAP certification in relevant functional modules is preferred

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP FI/CO modules

Demonstrated experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation project

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines

Proven track record of collaborating effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams

Nice to Have

Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation projects

Exposure to integration points with MM, SD, and PP modules

Knowledge of Fiori applications and financial reporting tools

Familiarity with IATF16949 or ISO14000 compliance processes
