Job Description

Mission of the Role

The mission of the Food Safety Compliance department is to: A Food Safety Auditor is responsible for ensuring that food production, handling, and storage processes comply with safety regulations and standards. They inspect facilities, review procedures, and identify potential risks or violations. The auditor conducts audits and documents findings to ensure corrective actions are taken. They help maintain hygiene standards and prevent contamination or foodborne illnesses. Their mission is to protect public health and ensure the quality and safety of food products.

The Food Safety Auditor will have the responsibility to Audit & Compliance Management, Training & Development, Quality Monitoring & Control, Inventory & Expiry Management, Investigation & Regulatory Support.

Key Responsibilities

Audit & Compliance Management

  • Support 1P sites with Conflux Audit non-conformance (NC) closure activities
  • Conduct PCO (Pest Control Operator) efficacy audits to ensure effective pest management
  • Perform comprehensive food safety audits across facilities (1P & 3 P sites) in North region
  • Establish and maintain compliance programs for Live processing center (LPC) and Collection Centers (CC)

Training & Development

  • Conduct food safety training sessions for operations teams
  • Develop and deliver training materials on food safety protocols and best practices
  • Quality Monitoring & Control
  • Track, monitor, and update automated temperature monitoring systems as part of temperature compliance
  • Flag temperature deviations to UFF, QC operations for immediate corrective action
  • Conduct on-shelf verification of Private Brand (PB) compliance including product and packaging quality checks
  • Perform product quality assessments to ensure adherence to standards

Inventory & Expiry Management

  • Raising SIM tickets for expired or near-expiry date lots across the network
  • Monitor inventory for expiration compliance
  • Coordinate with operations teams on product rotation and disposal
  • Investigation & Regulatory Support
  • Investigate consumer complaints related to food safety and quality
  • Support site team with food safety information during Food Safety Officer (FSO) visits and inspections
  • Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory compliance
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for new projects and pilot studies

Qualifications, Experience and Technical Skills

  • Experience: 3-5 years in food industry
  • Education Qualification: Graduate in Food Science or equivalent from recognized university
  • Any other equivalent certification
  • FSMS Lead Auditor Course
