The Financial Reporting Analyst II is responsible for developing, maintaining, validating, and enhancing internal financial reports within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Management Reporter. This role partners closely with the Senior Financial Analyst to create standardized financial reporting that supports Accounting, Finance, and executive leadership while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles, including U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting, and is able to analyze financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness. In addition to technical report development, this role identifies reporting issues, recommends process improvements, maintains reporting documentation, and supports the integrity of the organization's financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Develop, maintain, and modify financial reports, reporting trees, row definitions, and column definitions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Management Reporter. Create standardized financial reporting packages for Finance and business leadership. Maintain reporting hierarchies and ensure report definitions remain current as organizational structures evolve.
- Review financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Reconcile Management Reporter outputs to the general ledger, validate chart of accounts mappings, research reporting variances, troubleshoot discrepancies, and identify anomalies requiring further investigation. Provide recommendations to improve report accuracy and reporting quality.
- Assist the Senior Financial Analyst with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities. Support implementation of new entities, accounts, reporting structures, and system enhancements by performing report testing, validation, and quality assurance. Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure reporting requirements are met and financial information is presented accurately.
- Maintain documentation for report definitions, reporting procedures, and Management Reporter standards. Develop and maintain a library of standardized financial reports. Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes, improve efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the overall financial reporting process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, or financial analysis experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Management Reporter (or Microsoft Management Reporter) required or strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close activities.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and management reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting, including debits, credits, journal entries, and financial statement relationships.
- Experience developing and maintaining financial reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Management Reporter.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and identify reporting issues before financial statements are distributed.
- Ability to work with confidential financial information while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to reconcile financial reports to the general ledger and identify reporting discrepancies.
- Experience validating chart of accounts structures and financial reporting hierarchies.
- Strong financial statement analysis skills with the ability to recognize unusual trends, inconsistencies, and reporting anomalies.
- Moderate Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, SUMIFS, and other financial analysis functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate financial information.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Accounting, Finance, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Experience documenting financial reporting processes and recommending continuous improvements.
