Role Overview
We are looking for a strong finance professional with deep experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, MIS, Financial Reporting, AOP planning, business partnership, Balance Sheet review, Accounts Receivable and Treasury operations.
The role will be responsible for driving the Annual Operating Plan with business teams, preparing management reports, analysing business performance, supporting financial decision-making, reviewing working capital, monitoring receivables, supporting Balance Sheet controls and ensuring effective treasury management.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical capability, excellent financial reporting knowledge, a strong control mindset and the ability to work closely with business, sales, retail, e-commerce, operations and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, AOP & Business Partnership
- Drive the Annual Operating Plan in close coordination with business, finance and leadership teams.
- Partner with business teams to build revenue, margin, cost, manpower, capex and profitability plans.
- Track actual performance against AOP, budget and forecast.
- Analyse key variances and provide clear explanations with corrective action points.
- Support business reviews through data-backed insights and financial analysis.
- Work closely with sales, retail, e-commerce, operations and commercial teams to improve business performance.
- Prepare financial models, scenario analysis and profitability simulations for management decisions.
- Identify risks and opportunities in business plans and recommend action areas.
2. MIS, Financial Reporting & Business Analytics
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly MIS, financial reports and leadership dashboards.
- Analyse revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, costs, working capital and cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reports.
- Build business dashboards covering sales, profitability, collections, receivables, costs and working capital.
- Support CFO and leadership team with management presentations and board-level reporting.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Improve reporting automation, data quality and MIS discipline.
- Highlight business trends, gaps, risks and improvement areas.
3. Balance Sheet Review & Financial Controls
- Support periodic review of Balance Sheet schedules and key control accounts.
- Monitor ageing of receivables, advances, provisions, payables and other key Balance Sheet items.
- Ensure timely reconciliation and closure of open items.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with accounting, audit and business teams for Balance Sheet hygiene.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation for schedules, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Identify control gaps and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and audit requirements.
4. Accounts Receivable Management
- Own and monitor the complete AR process including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, ageing analysis and dispute resolution.
- Review customer-wise, channel-wise and ageing-wise receivable reports.
- Track overdue receivables and work with business teams for recovery action.
- Monitor credit notes, debit notes, claims, deductions and customer reconciliations.
- Highlight high-risk customers and overdue accounts to management.
- Strengthen controls around billing, collections, credit exposure and outstanding balances.
- Support audits by providing AR schedules, reconciliations, confirmations and supporting documents.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, AOP, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent knowledge of MIS, financial reporting and business analytics.
- Strong understanding of Balance Sheet, working capital and financial controls.
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, ageing and reconciliations.
- Good understanding of treasury, cash flow and fund management.
- Strong business partnering ability with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced Excel, financial modelling and dashboarding skills.
- Experience in ERP systems; SAP / Oracle / Tally / other ERP exposure preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and control mindset.
- Ability to work under timelines and manage multiple priorities.
Qualification
- CA Qualified Must.
- 10–12 years of experience in FP&A, MIS, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable,
- Experience in retail, apparel, FMCG, consumer goods, e-commerce or multi-location business will be preferred.
