Position Overview

Job Title: Financial and Regulatory Reporting Specialist

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

Location: Pune, India

Role Description

  • As an Assistant Vice President in our US CFO function in Pune, India, you will be the Legal Entity Controller for several Deutsche Bank US entities.
  • The primary function of the role is processing of standard adjustments in the general ledger, work on US-GAAP/IFRS P&L & Balance Sheet, perform validation checks of financials in Business Consolidation statements, Balance Sheet substantiation & perform additional Financial Disclosures.
  • You will work closely with the US CFO Control and regulatory and financial reporting teams. Additionally, you will participate in control initiatives and process improvements using tools like PowerQuery, AI and others.

Your key responsibilities

Responsible for various Legal Entity Controller activities key areas of responsibilities listed below

  • Formal role as Legal Entity Vehicle Controller (LVC)
  • Entity Funding monitoring and cash transfers
  • Cash Wires and Payments via Deutsche Bank's procurement platform
  • Balance Sheet Substantiation
  • Corporate & Other Segment Finance oversight
  • Journal entries in General Ledger SAP
  • US-GAAP to IFRS delta analysis
  • Managing internal & external audit queries
  • Lead or actively participate in process improvement and automation initiatives, aimed at enhancing reporting efficiency and control effectiveness, leveraging advanced data tools likeSAP, Python, PowerQuery, and AI.
  • Ensure appropriate controls across all financial processes relating to the organisation.

Your skills and experience

  • Relevant experience of 1-3 years in Legal Entity Control or Product Control
  • Strong Accounting skills
  • Good understanding of SAP System architecture,
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Power point, PowerQuery
  • Understanding of US-GAAP
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
