Job Description

About the Role:

The Manager Finance will oversee and guide the finance & accounts function across all laboratory and pharmacy locations/units. The role will provide leadership to unit-level accountants, ensure adherence to financial processes, maintain compliance, and support business decision-making with accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise all accountants/finance executives across laboratories and pharmacy outlets.
  • Standardize finance processes and ensure consistency across all locations.
  • Build capability of unit-level resources through training and support.

Financial Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, billing, collections, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closures for all units.
  • Monitor working capital, cash flows, vendor payments, and receivables.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure GST, TDS, statutory filings, and regulatory compliance across all locations.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Coordinate with auditors (internal & statutory) and ensure timely completion.

Business Finance & Analytics

  • Consolidate MIS from all locations and present financial dashboards to management.
  • Track profitability, costs, and key financial ratios of labs and pharmacies.
  • Provide insights for decision-making on expansion, cost control, and pricing.

System & Process Improvements

  • Drive automation and digital adoption in finance processes.
  • Ensure effective utilization of ERP/accounting systems across units.
  • Identify gaps and implement best practices for efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and compliance (preferably in healthcare/retail).
  • Ability to manage and lead geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and MS Excel/ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Problem-solving and process improvement mindset.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / M.Com
  • Experience: 1012 years in finance & accounts, with at least 23 years in a multi-location retail, healthcare, or service industry setup.
  • Preferred: Experience in laboratory, pharmacy, or healthcare retail chains.
