Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Fashion Designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury Indian wear. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embroidery, surface ornamentation, fabric development, and sampling, with a proven track record of working with designer labels.
You will play a key role in conceptualizing and developing collections that align with Sitarraa's design language while bringing fresh innovation and refined craftsmanship to each piece.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop luxury womenswear collections that reflect Sitarraa's aesthetic and brand identity.
- Embroidery & Surface Design: Create detailed embroidery layouts, motifs, and embellishment techniques in collaboration with the embroidery and sampling teams.
- Sampling & Production: Oversee the sampling process from sketch to final prototype, ensuring impeccable quality and finish.
- Trend Research: Stay updated on emerging trends, techniques, and materials in luxury and Indian couture fashion.
- Fabric & Material : Identify and help source suitable fabrics, trims, and embellishments in line with design requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure timely execution and consistency of design vision.
- Presentation: Prepare mood boards, storyboards, and presentations for seasonal collections and client showings.
Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of experience with a luxury or designer label in Indian ethnic or contemporary womenswear.
- Strong expertise in embroidery, draping, pattern-making, and garment construction.
- Excellent sense of color, texture, and detailing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of traditional Indian textiles and craftsmanship.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
