Strategic Roles & Responsibilities
Supervision, co-ordination & monitoring of all operations activities & implement highest level of safety processes
- Ensure accident-free execution of all operations activities
- Ensure implementation of highest standards of HSE across whole site
- Work with Site Heads to carry out daily safety observation tours and Safety risk field audits
- Ensure implementation of Group & BU specific safety requirements
- Prepare Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly safety dashboard and report back to BU Safety head
- Conduct safety tour, Safety interaction and Safety risk field audit at periodic intervals and ensure their corrections within stipulated time frames
- Review all contractor documents such as HSE plan, Method statements, JSA, HIRA, SOPs or work instructions and provide inputs for correction to ensure safe execution of all activities
- Organize safety training and awareness session for site teams
- Organize promotional activities and oversee their implementation
- Analyze trends, accident data, legging and leading indicators and report back to management on areas of concerns and devise plan for improvements
- Ensure use of CSM portals for all vendor evaluation
- Monitor Task Force activities and action plan implementation at respective sites
- Implement best practices and learning from internal and external sources
- Implement innovative solutions at site
- Ensure compliances PTW & LOTO requirements
- Ensure reporting of Safety data on Gensuite
- Ensure compliance through Legatrix
- Coach & Guide site in charge, project team and safety team for enhanced safety performance
- Ensure compliance of all applicable legal compliances pertaining to EHS
- Ensure compliance to OISD standards and other PESO related standards
- Ensure implementation of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 at site
- Organize on site and off site emergency response plan & disaster management plan and conduct mock drills
- Organize site safety audit and fire audit
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Mandatory
B.E/ B-Tech or Diploma in any Engineering branch (Electrical engineers preferable) or
BSC in Physics, Chemistry or Fire safety
+
Preference (Not mandatory): Certifications in EHS field
Post diploma in Industrial safety or NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Diploma
Experiences
Minimum 5+ years of HSE experience in execution of infrastructure, railway, warehouse, factory construction, refinery expansion, power plant construction projects.
