Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Export Logistics Specialist to our Hathijan Circle, Ahmedabad office. The Export Logistics Specialist will manage the day-to-day operations of export logistics, including coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and providing excellent customer service. The specialist will also work on optimizing supply chain processes and maintaining accurate documentation. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Export Logistics Specialist to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of international and domestic freight forwarding operations, including import/export documentation, customs clearance, carrier coordination, and client communication. You will play a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across global supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end international freight forwarding operations (Air, Sea, and/or Road)
  • Handle all documentation for import and export shipments including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms
  • Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, and customs brokers to track and expedite shipments
  • Provide customers with accurate shipment updates and resolve any logistics issues or delays
  • Negotiate freight rates and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers
  • Prepare costing sheets, quotations, and invoices in coordination with the sales and accounts teams
  • Support customs clearance processes and ensure all regulatory requirements are met
  • Analyze logistics operations and suggest improvements to optimize transit time and cost
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP or freight forwarding software (e.g., CargoWise, SAP, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation
  • Familiar with Incoterms 2020 and HS Code classification
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise, Descartes, etc.)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
