Job Description

Litigation Support

  • Providing 1 st level support on client projects along with quality review, if required, including
  • Extraction & compilation of data from client tool, sorting, indexing and creation of a readily accessible database of documents and database management
  • Data entry
  • Managing case/litigation related documentation by organizing the data in a chronological order, listing cited case law, highlighting relevant statutory law, preparing summary of facts, statements and exhibits, proof reading, etc.
  • Response to Interrogatories & Document Production Request
  • Review invoices/Bills and make adjustments to save the additional amount charged

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of law and legal concepts
  • Strong legal analytical skills
  • Excellent legal writing skills
  • Knowledge of MS-Office

Process Specific Skills

  • Exposure to litigation and legal documentation
  • Drafting, summarization, synopsis creation, proof reading of legal documents
  • Awareness of processes like e-discovery & document review
  • Exposure to or knowledge of document review tools like Concordance, i-CONECT, Zantaz Introspect, Attenex, Kroll Ontrack, Ringtail, Summation, etc.
  • Ability to effectively work using desktop computer system, especially Microsoft Office.

Soft Skills (Desired)

  • Proficient in legal knowledge and its application
  • Eye for detail
  • Basic understanding of US legal system
  • Excellent English communication skills written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power-point and good keyboarding speed
  • Basic knowledge of using the internet, web browsers, and search engines
  • Proficient in working independently
  • Competent in fostering a spirit of collaboration and team work
  • Competent in documentation and conformance with policies/compliances, including audit requirements.
