You are responsible for managing sourcing activities, including tendering processes, bid evaluations, negotiations (including e-auctions), contract drafting, and supplier management for indirect procurement categories (primarily facility management services, general equipment and supplies, as well as journal and database subscriptions).
You prepare and independently negotiate framework agreements with strategic suppliers.
You prepare commercial bid comparisons and award recommendations in close cooperation with the requesting business departments.
You manage and maintain purchase orders, contract amendments, framework agreements, and supplier master data in SAP SRM and SAP MM.
You actively contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
You identify and realize cost-saving opportunities.
You conduct demand and benchmark analyses.
You identify potential e-catalog opportunities and drive the development of key suppliers and framework agreements.
You support process and change management initiatives as well as special projects.
Qualifications
You hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of professional experience in indirect procurement within an international purchasing environment would be advantageous.
Knowledge of contract law as well as proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and SAP MM is required; experience with SAP SRM is an advantage.
Fluent business-level English and German skills.
