Job Description: ETL Test Automation - Senior Test Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced ETL Test Automation as a Senior Test Engineer.

Technical Expertise

Experience should have 3 to 5 years into ETL testing.
Strong expertise in SQL (writing complex queries, joins, aggregations).
Hands-on experience in testing ETL processes (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar).
Experience with data warehouses, data marts, and reporting validation.
Good understanding of data quality, data reconciliation, and transformation rules.
Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) for report validation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with test automation frameworks for ETL testing (e.g., Python, PyTest, Selenium for BI validation).
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, or similar) for automation and data manipulation.
Understanding on the SDLC.
Understanding on the Agile methodologies.
Communication with customer and producing the Daily status report.
Should have good oral and written communication.
Should be a good team player.
Should be proactive and adaptive.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business and data requirements to design ETL and reporting test strategies.
Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and SQL queries for validating ETL processes.
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and transformation testing between source and target systems.
Verify reporting accuracy across BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting platforms).
Automate regression testing for ETL jobs and reporting workflows where feasible.
Work closely with developers, data engineers, and BI teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
Document defects, prepare test summary reports, and ensure traceability to requirements.
Participate in UAT cycles, support production validation, and ensure data integrity.
Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
