Role Description
We are seeking highly experienced English Annotation Specialists to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting English audio into accurate text transcripts, working primarily with JSON-based annotation outputs. Accuracy is our top prioritywe value precision in transcription and annotation over speed.
Qualifications
- Audio Editing and Audio Engineering skills
- Experience with Live Sound and Audio Visual (AV) Systems
- Knowledge of Social Media platforms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Background in Linguistics or English Language is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, English, Communications, or related field
What You'll Do:
- Listen to and transcribe American English audio into text with a focus on accuracy and context.
- Work with JSON files for structured annotations.
- Use annotation tools to label and organize transcriptions.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and context-awareness in annotations.
- Collaborate with the QA team for feedback and improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- 23+ years of proven experience in audio-to-text English annotation or transcription.
- Strong command of American English (accent, idioms, vocabulary).
- Comfort working with JSON structures (basic understanding required).
- Prior experience with annotation tools (any industry-standard platforms).
- Availability of at least 20 hours per week, with preference for 40 hours per week.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
