Engineering Manager

About the Job

We're looking for an Engineering Manager with 8+ years of experience who can own the engineering function end-to-end from hands-on technical direction to people management, delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll lead a team of 10+ engineers and work closely with Product, Credit, CRM, Compliance, and Operations

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 10+ engineers across backend, frontend, and mobile
• Own the engineering roadmap and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
• Set and enforce engineering standards — code quality, architecture, security, and scalability
• Work closely with the product team to translate business requirements into technical execution
• Drive incident management, system reliability, and technical debt reduction
• Hire, onboard, and retain strong engineering talent
• Manage vendor integrations (APIs, third-party platforms) and ensure robust system architecture
• Be the bridge between tech and non-tech stakeholders — clear communication is non-negotiable

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead role
• Proven track record of managing teams of 10+ engineers
• Strong fundamentals across backend, APIs, and system design — stack-agnostic
• Experience in fintech, BFSI, or high-transaction-volume products is a strong plus
• Hands-on enough to review architecture decisions and unblock the team when needed
• Sharp on delivery — you know how to run sprints, manage priorities, and hit timelines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 growth environment

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with API integrations (Account Aggregator, DigiLocker, Bureau pulls, etc.)
• Prior experience scaling a tech team in a startup or growth-stage company
