Job Description

Role Summary -

The Engineer Planning Site (Document Controller) is responsible for maintaining and controlling all planning-related documents including drawings, reports, schedules, revisions, approvals, and correspondence. The role ensures proper document flow between site teams, consultants, and clients, facilitates tracking of drawing submissions and approvals, and maintains an organized document control system aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities -

  • Receive, log, distribute, and archive all planning and technical documents such as construction schedules, look-ahead plans, drawings, GFC revisions, RFIs, MOMs, DPRs, MPRs, and client communications.
  • Maintain document control registers for planning deliverables, including baseline and revised schedules, client submission logs, and approval status.
  • Ensure the latest versions of schedules, drawings, and planning documents are accessible to the execution, quality, billing, and procurement teams at all times.
  • Assist the planning engineer in formatting, compiling, and submitting project progress reports, updates, and correspondence to client and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to maintain and update drawing registers, transmittal logs, and document change history.
