Job Description
1. Breakdown Maintenance
- Attending Breakdown maintenance on receipt of Breakdown slip/memo
- Doing root cause (Why Why analysis) analysis and manual check to identify defect/abnormality.
- Restoring the defective parts & removing the abnormalities
- Implementing the counter measure to prevent occurrence of the same problem/abnormality.
- Carry out horizontally deployment of counter measure.
- Preparing for daily review meeting to discuss the maintenance issue.
- Taking machine trail and handover the machine for production.
- Coordinating with service engineers for execution of NPD & Improvement with ME Team for machine shifting activity
- Should have departmental discussion on issues /its resolution so that it should communicated to all concern for effective closure and no repetitions
1. Predictive/ Preventive Maintenance
- Following the prevent maintenance as per annual plan
- Analyzing the previous history of equipment before taking it for PM.
- Doing manual inspection of machine & equipment as per the Preventive Maintenance check sheet on daily & weekly basis.
- Restoring the defective parts & removing the abnormalities & taking corrective measures proactively.
- Taking trail of equipment to ensure normal functioning of the equipment & handing over to production
- Following and updating TBM calendar
- Inspect the machine equipments spare parts from time to time as per TBM calendar
- Verifying the equipment and spare part as per shelf life to analysis its condition
- Doing condition-based maintenance to increase the life of the equipment & continuous monitoring the equipment.
- Maintaining predictive maintenance/activity report
- Conducting quarterly preventive maintenance to avoid future breakdown
- 2. Inventory Reduction & Cost saving
- Identifying critical and non-critical spare parts
- Maintaining the inventory of spare parts as per the lead time required to procure particular spare part.
- Reducing the inventory of parts and material by identifying and replacing with common part instead of using different parts.
- Identify the low cost & long-life parts & materials to reduce the cost of material and parts.
- Reducing service cost by inhouse training of employees i.e. SW & Apprentice.
- Energy saving projects
3. Spare Part Management
- Ensuring machine wise spare part availability as per the Time Base Maintenance (TBM)
- Generate PR for procurement of required Spare part
- Take follow up with Purchase department for timely availability of spare part
- Issuing spare part from Stores & installing the spare part
4. Documentation & other activities:
- Check Daily breakdown report & update in SAP
- Maintain documents for TS, IATF Audit
- Maintaining preventive maintenance check sheet, machine history card, updating TBM calendar, predictive maintenance documentation
- 5s Audit documentation & pre and post report
- Suggesting kaizen for improvement & implementation
- Giving training to casual labor/apprentice
- Monthly MIS preperation
- Analysis & PCA plan based on data
