The Technical Expert will lead the design, development, test, support and interface with Agile squad to develop new offers or evolution of existing offers. Our products are datacenter related infrastructure, including Uninterrupted Power Supply, rack power distribution, rack automatic transfer switches and more.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Electromechanical function within the Agile squad and collaborate with other functions to refine the offer requirements.
Lead the design, development of conceptual & detailed product models. 3D component, assembly creation, 2D drawing creation using GD&T, BOM creation and development of other specifications.
Prepare, execute and document verification and validation test plans including test method and acceptance criteria.
Contribute to packaging, user documentation, safety labels and product markings.
Perform First Article Inspection and part quality approvals based on form, fit, function.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
8 to 12years of hands on experience in design, development and testing of Electromechanical products such as Inverters, Drives, Servers, network switches etc. Experience on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) , Power Distribution Units (PDU) is preferred.
Practical knowledge in designing assemblies using sheet metal, mounting PCBA's, cable harnesses, electrical contacts/terminals/receptacles, springs, fasteners is mandatory.
Experience in 3D CAD modeling & drafting using Creo (sheetmetal, plastic, cable), ECAD/MCAD Integration.
Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning, Tolerancing and Engineering Drawing Practices.
Experience with regulatory compliance, IEC/UL/CSA/NEMA standards, National Electric Code etc.
Experience and use of simulation tools for finite element analysis and thermal simulation is preferred.
Understanding of EMI/EMC, thermal impact would be an advantage.
Design of packaging used for electronic equipment would be desired.
